Sunny Delight® Beverages Co. España Makes Plans for Expansion

Barcelona, May 2, 2005—Sunny Delight Beverages Co. announced today that it is significantly increasing its investment in its Barcelona headquarters to support the growth of SunnyD in Western Europe.

The investment will increase the size of the Cornella HQ organization by 60% to become the new home of its Innovation Team, Finance Team, Back Office Services, and Customer Service & Logistics for Western Europe. To accommodate these additional resources, SunnyD will double its office space.

These additions are being made to accelerate the growth of SunnyD in Western Europe and replace services currently being provided by the Punica Getranke GmbH. Sunny Delight Beverages Co. announced today that is was selling its Puncia operations to PepsiCo.

"The proceeds from this sale will strengthen the Sunny Delight Beverages Co. and make it possible to increase our investment in our core SunnyD brand," said Sunny Delight Beverages Co. President and CEO, Billy Cyr. When this transaction is completed, Sunny Delight Beverages Co. will have approximately $475M in annual sales and do business in seven countries.

According to Cyr, "SunnyD's European operations will become more self-sufficient and have greater financial strength to accelerate growth.
