Sunny Delight® Beverages Co. Names Executives

Cincinnati, August 22, 2004—Sunny Delight Beverages Co., the newly formed spin off of the Procter & Gamble® juice drink brands, announced today the appointment of seven top executives.

In total, these managers have more than 70 years of beverage experience across a wide range of products, including soft drinks, juices and juice drinks, dairy products, water, and coffee. They also have worked in the United States and Europe, both inside and outside P&G.

John Crossetti, Vice President of Sales—John has 28 years of sales experience at Pinnacle Foods, Alpo, Mars, and Ocean Spray, where he served as VP of Sales for four years. He brings significant understanding of a brokered sales organization and deep beverage experience. A graduate of Marshall University, John is a native of Wheeling, West Virginia. He will assume responsibility for the U.S. Grocery broker management organization and will relocate to Cincinnati.

James Dahmus, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer—Jim recently left ADVO, a $1.2 billion NYSE traded company, where he served as CFO for the past year. Prior to that, Jim served in a variety of senior financial and operational roles at Covergys and Cincinnati Bell. He began his career at P&G in 1980. Jim is a native of State College, Pennsylvania, a graduate of Penn State and also the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He will be based in Cincinnati.

Dietger Dickmann, Managing Director of Punica—Dietger is a 14-year veteran of P&G with experience in both marketing and sales. Dietger has served as Marketing Director of the Punica business for the past six years. Dietger is a native of Germany, a graduate of Mannheim University in Germany, and has a graduate degree from Baruch College, City University of New York. He will be based in the company's European Headquarters in Hamburg, Germany and have profit/loss responsibility for Punica.

Jean Jacques Fredj, Managing Director of Western European SunnyD—Jean Jacques has extensive dairy and beverage experience through his 14 years with the French dairy and beverage company Danone. A native of Paris, France, he has worked across Europe, Canada, and Japan. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Paris Dauphine University. He will be based in Barcelona, Spain, and have profit/loss responsibility for Western European SunnyD.

Ellen Iobst, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, Engineering, and Techonology—Ellen has 22 years of manufacturing and supply chain leadership experience from P&G and most recently served as the leader of P&G's North American Juice Supply Chain operation. A native of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, Ellen is a graduate of Lehigh University. She will be based in Cincinnati and have responsibility for the company's global supply chain.

John Wildman, Senior Vice President of Sales—John is a 24-year veteran of P&G, including six years in the beverage business. John also has international sales experience, having served in Australia and New Zealand. John is a native of Cincinnati and a graduate of DePauw University. He will reside in Cincinnati and have responsibility for the U.S. sales force and the company's Canadian business.

Rick Zimmerman, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Innovation—Rick is a 24-year veteran of P&G marketing, all but one of them in the food and beverage business. He has extensive experience with marketing and new product creation. Rick is a native of New York City and a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Wharton School. He will be responsible for the company's Marketing and R&D functions and will reside in Cincinnati.

These appointments continue the efforts of JW Childs Associates, the Boston-based private equity firm, to build on a top-flight management team. JW Childs invests in businesses in partnership with the management and seeks to supplement the management team with additional expertise.

Commenting on the new appointments, Sunny Delight Beverages Co. CEO Billy Cyr said: "This is a talented group of managers with deep experience in beverages and a proven ability to work together as a team. They are diverse, yet motivated by a singular opportunity: to create a whole new company and significantly increase the rate of growth on its brands."

Cyr added that he and his leadership team are focused on immediately implementing their growth plans, and completing the staffing and transition needs of the new organization. "We have completed our hiring of P&G people and are now turning our focus to filling the remaining positions from outside. We have already hired some outstanding finance and sales people and are encouraged by the quality of the talent pool we are seeing."
